Whistleblower Protection Act
The California Whistleblower Act (“Act”) protects the rights of employees who accuse their employer of engaging in illegal activities. The Act makes it unlawful for an employer to retaliate against an employee who either knows or suspects that an employee is involved in whistleblowing claims. If the employee has a reasonable cause to disclose a law violation, the Act prohibits the enforcement of rules or regulations that prevent employees from working with government or policies agencies.
